This past weekend, my guy and I (and a coupla friends) took a much-needed getaway/road trip over the border. I had always heard of La Conner and finally got to see for myself how charming this little town is. We were much too early in the season for the famous Tulip festival, but the positive side of this is that we could explore the town on our own and have a nice quiet lunch at the local brew pub.
I loved looking through all the shops and getting inspiration for my own.
Seattle was also filled with inspiration for me. Spring is such a time of renewal and growth and seeing all the colour at Pike Place Market and all the funky shops around the city made me excited to come home to my pretty little boutique and share all my spring-y items with you!
And of course, there was the food!
Lemon drop martinis in our hotel lounge, dinner at Purple Cafe and Wine Bar, Brunch at the Dahlia lounge (so ridiculously delicious!) and their homemade donuts for dessert (so fresh and amazing that we had to go back for more the next day!). And then there was the World’s Best Macaroni and Cheese at Beechers at Pike Place Market!
It was a fabulous weekend and a great getaway. Now I’m back and ready for Spring!
Oh…And… Zumba is calling:)
